Job Description

*** THIS JOB WILL CLOCK IN & OUT at ABQ, BUT WILL WORK AT THE SANTA FE, NM FACILITY! ****

Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; to check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; Provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Mon- Sat with day off TBD. 07:00AM-06:00PM / Hours and shifts may vary by route and day / *** May be required to become DOT certified.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.  Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Note: there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. 

Preferred Qualifications: *** THIS POSITION WILL CLOCK IN AND OUT AT THE ABQ FACILITY, BUT WILL WORK IN SANTA FE, NM ***** Minimum of 21 years of age, consistently lift 50 pounds, High School / GED Diploma, Valid Driver’s License consistently for the past two years. Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.

Pay Transparency: Starting Pay: $23.52
